You never know what's in your mother's attic

All three of our girls received a doll quilt from my mother for Christmas. This was extra special when everyone realized that grandma had hand made them.

It wasn't until she brought out a picture album that I realized that the fabrics were all from dresses she had made me when I was in high school. I can still hear that 80s music.

1983- Spring of my freshman year

1984-Prom my sophomore year

1986-Basketball Homecoming court my Senior year

Thanks mom for a trip down memory lane.

Those pictures are amazing! But I can't believe she'd cut up the beautiful dresses!!! ... or ... did she just use the leftover scrap from after she made the dresses? Either way, it was sure fun to look at your pictures. Thanks for sharing them!!

She used the scraps to make the quilts. I have no idea where the dresses are!

I hear you want to come see us....COME! Alyssa says quizzing is over, so you might not be so busy :) Seriously, though, if you get a free minute and feel up for it, come for a visit. Things here really are amazing. I'm holding precious Selah on my lap right now as I type and Owen sleeps. Life is so full and good and I feel blessed beyond measure!

Much love,
Danielle
